ETHIOPIA
Dhoqole Catholic Primary School faces significant challenges with its water supply. The school relies on a spring that serves about 5,000 villagers and their cattle. Unfortunately, the water is often contaminated and inconsistent. This situation forces individuals to travel long distances or depend on rainfall for their water needs.
The water rehabilitation project aims to provide clean and safe drinking water. This will improve health, reduce the time spent on water collection, and alleviate water scarcity during the dry season. The project will benefit students, staff, and the local community. It focuses on empowering women and children, ensuring they have access to essential resources.

Upon completion, the villagers will have access to clean water. This will lead to improved health, community development, and a better quality of life. The vision is to create a sustainable and thriving community that addresses both material and spiritual needs.

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the spring water rehabilitation project at Dhoqolle Catholic Primary School in Borana, Ethiopia! Thanks to your generous support, students, staff, and the surrounding community now enjoy clean, safe, and sustainable water—a true blessing that brings health and hope.
This project has transformed daily life in remarkable ways. A new Spring Eye and Collection Box now ensures a reliable water supply. Fencing and security measures protect the source from contamination. Contaminated water tanks were replaced, improving health outcomes for everyone. Old pipelines were upgraded to prevent leaks and maintain water purity. A new community water point was established to serve local families. Rainwater harvesting tanks were installed to provide water during dry seasons. Additional water points now support irrigation for gardening and cultivation.
Through these improvements, access to clean water, hygiene, and health has greatly increased. This also promotes conservation and sustainability practices. This achievement is more than infrastructure—it is a testament to faith, generosity, and the power of community.
