BECAUSE
THEY
DESERVE IT

The core of society is a strong, two-parent family. Too often, we see children growing up in poverty because their fathers are not involved in their lives. That’s why Catholic World Mission is partnering with the Lumen Institute to invest in an increase in marriages, mentorship for children, and the engagement of fathers.

Help Build Strong Catholic Families, Rooted in Faith

Lumen is a Catholic organization for business and societal leaders. Its Plan 2040 is designed to ensure that every child born in the town of Cuatro Ciénegas, México, from Jan. 1, 2017, onward can lead a fulfilling life and break the cycle of poverty. Of the 1,400 families in the program, 60% are missing fathers. They are stuck in poverty, and the boys do not have the strong male role models they need.

Your gift today will help us engage with fathers to come back to their families and help us develop a mentorship program for the boys without fathers.

Together, we will ensure all children can recognize their value and dream big. We’ll empower children to respond to their call from God and trace the path of their full vocation. Over the past seven years, Plan 2040 has made 64,217 home visits and accompanied 1,358 children, helping to transform their futures. We’ve seen this program get real results.

Our Catholic World Mission lmpact in North America

Just like how St. Francis of Assisi was instructed by God to "repair his Church," our Catholic parishioners work hard to restare the global Christian community's fa1th in His Church and Word. Sorne countries in North America are hit hard by social adversities.

Many struggle to leave the1r lives of poverty, drugs and crime behind, slowly losing hope and losing touch with Christ.

In line with the readingof 2 Corinthians 5:20, we want to be the ambassadors of change by introducing or rekindling their relationship with Christ. How do we achieve this? By showing them firsthand that God works in ways far them to prosper, asHe confirmed in Jeremiah 29:11.

WHAT DOES CWM STAND FOR?

We are committed to three pillars that constitute our mission at Catholic World Mission. We help those in need lead dignified lives through evangelization and education, bridging the gaps of poverty, spirituality and the future. we are aware of the need for spiritual upliftment as much as there is a need for material upliftment, and we strive to provide both. We aim to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people regardless of their faith, inspiring them to believe in their God-given potential. Through our missionary work and donations, we help build churches and promote seminarian formation to align with St. Paul's work as the Evangelization patron.

WHO NEEDS
OUR HELP?

Many areas in North America have experienced devastating natural disaster that have uprooted many lives. For example, Haití is still recovering from the 201O earthquake that claimed over 200,000 lives. With over 4.000 schools damaged or destroyed, we have dedicated our services to Haití as part of our education pillar. Bridging the gap to the future involves building schools and providing scholarships and supplies. It also means sharing the Gospel and working to unite all of us in the body of Christ. In Proverbs 22:6,God says we must help train children in the right way so they're set on the right path when they're older. If they are educated and know Christ at a young age, they will follow His Word and example throughout their lives.
