Rebuilding "Domus Mariae"
DALLAS, TX Earlier this year the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi in Dallas suffered a house fire. The home, called "Domus Mariae" (House of Mary), aims to foster spiritual growth and community through hospitality and mission activities. This project will restore a home damaged by fire and renew a vital center of prayer, formation, and missionary outreach.
More than restoring a building damaged by fire, this project will renew a vital center of prayer, formation, and evangelization. The renovated home will provide a safe and welcoming environment for 9 consecrated women and 3 RC missionaries whose ministries touch hundreds of lives each year through retreats, spiritual accompaniment, youth formation, marriage preparation, and pastoral outreach. By helping to restore this space, donors are strengthening a place where faith is nurtured, vocations are encouraged, and countless individuals will experience God's love and presence for years to come.

BEFORE

AFTER

Because of your generosity, a home damaged by fire has been fully restored and is once again a place of prayer, community, and mission.
After three months of work, the community returned on the Feast of St. Lawrence. The fire had started at a gas grill. St. Lawrence is the patron saint of cooks and of the grill. Their homecoming on his feast was hard to miss as anything but providence.
The house is already in use. It is welcoming two young missionaries and a consecrated woman returning to community life after six years of missionary service in Spain.
Catholic World Mission’s gift was a tangible sign of God’s care in a hard season. It helped restore not only the building but the spiritual life of the home, so it can go on forming disciples through hospitality, prayer, and evangelization.
" We are so so grateful for Catholic World Mission being a part of God’s providence in this process- thank you for following the inspiration to reach out!" - Amelia
Domus Mariae is welcoming missionaries home again. Help Catholic World Mission respond when another mission community faces an urgent need.
