Water Filtration for Human Dignity

This beautiful and much needed project will bring clean and safe drinking water to six poor and remote villages in Vietnam, where water sources are often contaminated due to wartime environmental damage, hydroelectric development, and frequent tropical storms. With support from Catholic World Mission donors, the sisters from the Lovers of the Holy Cross will install six community water filtration systems—each serving 500–800 people—providing wells, filtration units, and protective housing. The Good Heart Group, a volunteer team in Vietnam, will assemble and install the systems, ensuring stable access to clean water while protecting health and restoring human dignity.

Clean Water, Renewed Hope in Vietnam

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors, six water filtration systems have now been successfully installed in remote and underprivileged villages across Vietnam. Each system—comprised of a well, a filtration unit, and a protective housing structure—now provides safe, reliable drinking water to more than 600 people who previously depended on polluted rivers, ponds, and shallow wells.

For many years, families in these communities have faced unsafe water conditions due to environmental and natural challenges. Polluted water was a daily reality, leading to preventable illness and hardship. Today, that reality has changed.

With your support, entire communities now have access to clean water that protects health, supports daily living, and restores dignity. Children can drink safely, families can cook without fear, and villages are healthier and stronger. The transformation is immediate and life-changing.
