Catholic World Mission is supporting the Minor Seminary in Beit Jala, Palestine, where young men are given the opportunity to grow in faith, knowledge, and character while discerning a possible call to the priesthood.
Our support provides for their education, spiritual formation, tutoring, music, sports, pilgrimages, and other activities. By investing in these young men today, we are helping nurture future priests who can serve their communities and strengthen the Catholic presence in the Holy Land for generations to come.

Growing Vocations at Beit Jala Minor Seminary
August 2026
In Palestine, enrollment at the Minor Seminary of the Latin Patriarchate in Beit Jala has rapidly decreased due to visa restrictions, political instability, and financial hardship among Christian families, causing many young men to lose interest in their vocations.
Catholic World Mission has worked to support the minor seminary, rebuilding the pathway of priestly vocations and strengthening Catholic identity among youth and families in the Holy Land. Thanks to the generosity of CWM donors, the project has ensured a safe, faith-centered environment where students have grown in their spiritual formation through daily prayer, liturgy, academic support, music and sports, service opportunities, and close mentorship.
We thank our donors for helping to preserve the Christian presence in the Holy Land. Please watch the attached video to see how our support has made a real difference!
