Bringing Hope to Remote Communities in Quito

ECUADOR

In July 2024, Fr. Adaikkalarajan was appointed parish priest of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows and entrusted with the mission of building a new faith community under the Mission of Ecuador – Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales. As he began his ministry, it quickly became clear that a reliable vehicle was essential to reach the many remote areas surrounding Quito.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Catholic World Mission partnered with Fr. Adaikkalarajan to help meet this vital need. With the support of a dedicated vehicle, the priests can now travel between the main church and various mission stations, bringing spiritual care and practical support to those who need it most. This includes outreach programs such as food distribution, social services for the elderly, and assistance for low-income families and marginalized groups.

On behalf of the Missionaries of Saint Francis de Sales serving in Ecuador, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous support through Catholic World Mission. Through your kindness, we were able to purchase a Toyota Rush 4x4 vehicle.

This vehicle is already proving to be a tremendous blessing for our mission. It allows us to travel safely and efficiently to all our mission centers. This vehicle ensures we can continue our pastoral work and reach even the most remote communities with the love and care they deserve. We are deeply grateful for your continued support.
