SEMINARIAN FORMATION

Today, the Holy Spirit is raising up a new generation of young men to become priests who will shepherd our Church
“I will appoint for you shepherds after my own heart, who will shepherd you wisely and prudently” Jeremiah (3:15 ).
We see vibrant faith in places like the Archdiocese of Bamenda, Cameroon, where 115 seminarians are preparing for the priesthood. Yet, with this blessing comes a pressing need. The local Church struggles to support the formation of these future priests, especially for ministry in remote areas. Your support can provide the education and spiritual nourishment a seminarian needs to one day feed God’s people with the Word and sacraments.
Across the globe, at the International Pontifical College in Rome, seminarians from over 20 countries — from Haiti to Venezuela, India to Angola — live and study together. This unique formation near the heart of the Church prepares them to return to their homelands as well-equipped leaders, united in faith. The fruit of this work is clear: Hundreds of the college’s alumni are now serving as priests on five continents.
Help form the next parish priest, the next missionary, and the next shepherd who will bring Christ’s love to a waiting world.

PROJECT UPDATES
No Priest, No Mass
February 2026

Through the generous support of our donors, Catholic World Mission provides full scholarships each year for 10 seminarians in the Archdiocese of Bamenda in Cameroon, helping form future priests who will one day be sent—like the Apostles—to preach the Gospel, administer the Sacraments, and shepherd the people of God. When these men complete their priestly formation and receive Holy Orders, they will bring Christ’s mercy, teaching, and sacramental life to parishes throughout the Archdiocese and beyond, alleviating spiritual poverty by feeding the faithful with the Word of God and the grace of the Church. Their priestly ministry will inspire the faithful to live out authentic charity, supporting one another and alleviating material poverty as part of their Christian vocation. Your continued generosity ensures that these seminarians receive solid human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation—so that, by God’s grace, they may become holy and well‑prepared priests ready to serve in every corner of the vineyard.
