The children of St. Xavier’s English Primary School in India come from far and wide, regardless of religion, to learn in the image of Christ.
About 400 students attend the school in Umarpada, a remote tribal village.
While they’re learning about their inherent dignity as children of God, the school’s facilities don’t always reflect that. The Diocese of Baroda has contributed to renovations, but the reconstruction of the restrooms is beyond its means — leaving children with dilapidated bathrooms that are no longer fit for use.
“The toilet facilities for the children are extremely poor. In fact, I am even ashamed to speak of them,” Bishop Sebastiano Mascarenhas says.
Your gift to Catholic World Mission today can help keep children healthy, comfortable, and safe. You can help construct proper restroom facilities, with more privacy and better sanitation, that reflect and respect the dignity of each St. Xavier student.

Your kindness will make a ripple effect beyond the campus, as well, by offering an example of improved hygiene that will inspire and educate the wider community.
Can some of God’s most vulnerable children count on your compassion today?
