GHANA
The Ghana Church Roof Expansion project, led by St. Mary Church (Avoca, IA) and St. Patrick Church (Walnut, IA) in partnership with Ghanaian priests in Wasa Japa Ghana, in Sekondi Takoradi Diocese —aims to expand St. Anthony's Church in Ghana. The expansion will create space for worship, Eucharistic Adoration, Catholic faith formation, sacrament preparation, and training, serving over 15 communities, eliminating rental needs for events like Easter, the Triduum, Pentecost, and the Assumption, and supporting religious education while honoring the Ghanaian community's role in Father Seth's formation.

Grateful Hearts for St. Anthony’s Church Construction
December 2025
With hearts full of gratitude to God, we joyfully share the progress of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church project in Wassa Nananko, Ghana. By His grace, the second phase has been successfully completed, including the casting of the floors, installation of iron gates, window guards, and the initial electrical work.
Currently, the team is diligently plastering the sacred structure and completing the remaining electrical tasks. The next steps will involve purchasing cables, installing lighting and fixtures, and conducting safety inspections to ensure everything is prepared for worship.
This project is a testament to God’s providence and the generosity of our faithful supporters. We humbly ask for your continued prayers as we move forward, and we will keep you updated on the blessings yet to come.
