The Easter Season is more than a celebration, it’s a 50-day journey of joy, renewal, and discovering what it means to live as people of the Resurrection. And like any good journey, it’s better when you travel with friends. The Church gives us incredible saints whose lives echo the hope of Easter and who can guide us along the way.

Here are some Easter-season saints to help you walk with the Risen Christ each day.

St. Mary Magdalene
Apostle to the Apostles

St. Mary Magdalene

Apostle to the Apostles

Mary Magdalene is the first witness of the Resurrection, and her encounter with Jesus in the garden is one of the most beautiful moments of the Easter story. She reminds us that Easter is deeply personal, Jesus calls each of us by name.

“I have seen the Lord.”  John 20:18

PRAYER

Risen Jesus, help me recognize Your presence in my life, even when I least expect it. Like Mary Magdalene, let my heart be quick to love and ready to share Your joy. Amen.

St. Peter
From Fear to Boldness

St. Peter

From Fear to Boldness

Peter’s transformation after the Resurrection is stunning. The same man who denied Jesus becomes the fearless leader of the early Church. Easter tells us: failure is never the end of the story.

“Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”  — John 21:17

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, You know my fears and my failures, yet You still call me to follow You. Strengthen my heart this Easter so I may love You boldly and trust You completely. Amen.

St. Thomas the Apostle
Honest Faith

St. Thomas the Apostle

Honest Faith

Thomas often gets labeled as a doubter, but what he really teaches us is that Jesus welcomes our honest questions. His encounter with Christ invites us to bring our whole selves to God, even the uncertain parts.

“My Lord and my God!”  John 20:28

PRAYER

My Lord and my God, stay close to me when doubts arise. Help me bring my questions to You openly and lead me into a deeper, more confident faith. Amen.

St. Stephen
Courage in the Spirit

St. Stephen

Courage in the Spirit

As the Church’s first martyr, Stephen lived Easter courage to the fullest. He forgave his attackers and entrusted his spirit to Jesus. His bold witness shows that Easter joy is stronger than fear.

“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” — Acts 7:59

PRAYER

Holy Spirit, fill me with the courage of St. Stephen. Teach me to speak with kindness, love boldly, and forgive freely, just as he did. Amen.

St. Catherine of Siena
A Fire for Christ

St. Catherine of Siena

A Fire for Christ

Her feast on April 29 always falls in the Easter Season. Bold, passionate, and deeply in love with Jesus, St. Catherine reminds us that the Resurrection isn’t something to whisper, it’s something that sets the world on fire.

“Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.”

PRAYER

Lord, set my heart on fire with Your love like You did for St. Catherine. Give me the courage to be who You created me to be and to live my faith boldly. Amen.

St. Joseph the Worker
Holiness in the Ordinary

St. Joseph the Worker

Holiness in the Ordinary

Celebrated on May 1, St. Joseph the Worker fits beautifully into the Easter message. While we rejoice in Christ’s risen glory, Joseph reminds us that holiness often grows in the ordinary, everyday moments.

“Holiness begins at home.”  (A message he lived, even without words)

PRAYER

St. Joseph, help me discover holiness in my work, my home, and the ordinary moments of my day. Teach me to offer everything to Jesus with love and simplicity. Amen.

St. Philip & St. James
Quiet, Faithful Friendship with Jesus

St. Philip & St. James

Quiet, Faithful Friendship with Jesus

Their feast on May 3 falls right in the Easter season. They weren’t dramatic miracle workers or major public speakers, but they followed Jesus steadily and faithfully. Sometimes holiness is quiet.

ST PHILIP:

“Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”

— John 14:8

ST JAMES THE LESS:

 Holiness grows in quiet faithfulness.

PRAYER

Jesus, help me follow You in the simple, steady way of Philip and James. May my daily routines and small acts of love shine with Your Resurrection light. Amen.

Walking Through Easter with the Saints

The saints show us that Easter isn’t just a single day, it’s a way of life. Their courage, faith, joy, and love reflect the reality of the Resurrection in every season of the Church’s life.

During these 50 days of Easter, try:

  • Choosing one saint to accompany you

  • Praying their prayer each morning

  • Reflecting on their quote throughout the week

  • Asking them to intercede for your needs and your family

May these saints help you walk closer with the Risen Christ, and may their prayers fill your Easter season with joy, hope, and renewed faith. Alleluia!
