How to Choose the Right Holy Week Book for You

  • If you want deep theological formation, go for “Jesus of Nazareth” or one of the narrative/meditative books.

  • If you’re looking to engage your family (especially children) or include younger members, pick the children’s book or the family printable guide.

  • If you love visual/spiritual art and reflecting on images, the art-meditation book fits well.

While reading these books, it’s powerful to pair the reading with prayer: after each chapter or reflection, pause for a moment of silence, ask the Lord how the passage speaks to you, and perhaps offer a short prayer for someone in spiritual or material need. Many Catholic-spiritual authors recommend entering into the Passion of Christ in this way.
