GHANA
The Egyam Children's Home, which houses 85 children, has enrolled 20 of them into university. Despite securing scholarships, the home faces constraints and relies on external support. To ensure sustainability, they have embarked on a water manufacturing project with the help of Catholic World Mission, which funded essential equipment. They are now seeking additional funds for a light-duty truck for distribution. The project aims to provide potable water, support the children's welfare, and expand to other regions to alleviate poverty. The expected outcomes include expanding the orphanage, protecting children from various forms of harm, and promoting Christian values.

Thank You for Helping Us Move This Mission Forward
September 2025
Grace and peace of the Lord be with you. Thanks to the generosity of our Catholic World Mission family, the production of sachet water is an income generating venture for the Home! By the grace of God production has begun with a promising patronage by the public.

In addition, the sisters, Daughters of the Most Holy Trinity, have taken an important step toward securing a light‑duty truck that will help deliver clean sachet water to families in the Diocese of Sekondi–Takoradi, Ghana. This water initiative is not only a work of mercy—it is a powerful way of sharing Christ’s love with communities in need.
A local benefactor has temporarily provided a small pickup to deliver sachets. However, the pickup cannot carry enough water to meet the high demand, and its fuel consumption greatly limits the revenue that can support the Church’s outreach.
Together we are working to secure the light‑duty truck for the Egyam Home. With a new light-duty truck the sisters will be able to deliver larger quantities of clean water, expand the ministry, and sustain the diocese’s evangelizing mission—bringing both physical relief and the hope of the Gospel to those we serve. Thank you for your generosity.

Egyam Children’s Home, Ghana A Life-Changing Ripple Effect Friends like you helped provide a reverse osmosis machine for the Egyam Children’s Home so the 85 children who live there can enjoy clean, safe water. You also helped provide a machine that packages bottled drinking water. Now, the Daughters of the Most Holy Trinity, who operate the home, seek to purchase a truck so they can distribute bottles to the community. Their goals are to improve their neighbors’ health while also creating a revenue stream to make the home self-sufficient and sustainable. Will you please lend your generous support again?

Accomplishments thus far include drilling a borehole establishing the pumping machine, fixing doors, windows, and tiles. painting the building, and finishing the security post. The next steps are 10 transfer the reverse-osmosis machine to the production room and work on the registration of the sachet-water project to the Food and Drugs Board Authority.
