What is DGT (Direct Gift Transfer)?

D.G.T. is a convenient way to support Catholic World Mission projects on a recurring basis. You choose the amount you wish to give each month and the gift is transferred directly to the Catholic World Mission account and project by your bank. And your exact contribution is always noted on your monthly bank statement. It's that easy.......you have complete control!

How secure is it? |
|
|
D.G.T. is really nothing extraordinary. Every month you write checks and the bank takes the money for you and gives this amount to the person on the check. Likewise, D.G.T. is regulated by what you authorize your bank to send to Catholic World Mission. The bank has no more control than you give it.

What if I am unable to fulfill my commitment? |

You may cancel your commitment at any time by calling our number, 800-961-8153.

Would I be able to change the amount I pledged initially? |
|
|
Yes, you always have the option to adjust your gift to your circumstances and needs. Just call us at the above number, with a two week notice preferably, and the updates will be made. We will even remind you of these changes. You always have the control to increase, decrease or cancel your commitment.

Will I be notified of the total amount I have given over the year, for the purpose of my tax records? |
|
|
Certainly! this is one advantage you always have with D.G.T. Your total annual contributions through D.G.T. are recorded on a letter sent to you in January which is valid for tax records.
