The Mano Amiga Impact“Upon graduating from Mano Amiga Monterrey, last year I was awarded a scholarship for higher education by the University of Monterrey, for this I am very grateful. I also have a 13 year old sister who attends the Mano Amiga Middle School.”

All gifts, no matter the size, are important. One US dollar has an equivalent value of $10.00 in Latin America. While any amount helps, please consider these sponsorship opportunities to make an even greater impact.
“I grew up very poor in Mexico,
but thanks to Mano Amiga I
was able to break the cycle of
poverty. I am a cardiovascular
surgeon and own my own
practice. I owe much of my
success to the integral formation
I received at Mano Amiga.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Catholic World Mission have an
Annual Fund Drive?
Each Mano Amiga family can only afford
an average of $10 per month to support the
education of their child. Your sponsorship
helps to cover the remaining costs, assuring
each child top quality education and the
opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.
How are Mano Amiga children selected?
Each family has to be willing to work with
the Mano Amiga School by demonstrating
a desire for better futures for their children.
Most families consist of 4 to 5 members, value
academic excellence and virtue education, and
are Catholics. The average family makes the
equivalent of $300 per month and is asked to
pay a small portion of the child’s tuition.
Thank you for working with Catholic World Mission to conquer poverty with the richness of our Catholic faith and to prepare today’s children to be tomorrow’s leaders.
